Just who or what is Bubblehead?
It seems like giant pop arty wall murals and posters have been plaguing L.A. for months, and this latest super-sized creative leads Daily Billboard to ask what's it all for?
At first Daily Billboard thought the supergraphics were for a haircare brand? But even though they are fun and intriguing, with more than a little homage to Barbarella, they are a bit amateur looking for a high end brand who could afford the price tag of all this media spend.
So what is the point? Is it an online game, cartoon or comic book character, or merely someone's artistic expression with a bucket load of money to spend?
Apparently artist provocateur Mike McNeilly is responsible for this artwork and his latest 'Cruel World' billboard can be seen on the side of L.A.'s Sofitel Hotel along Beverly Boulevard, where it was spied on April 29, 2013.
They say art, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. So what do you think, do you like this nebulous Bubblehead art or would you prefer some standard billboards for TV shows and movies in its place?
