This Spring A&E brings you Bates Motel and takes you inside the mind of a young 'Norman Bates' (played by Freddie Highmore) and how his relationship with his mother (Vera Farmiga) turned him into the famous serial killer he became.

UPDATED: Daily Billboard knew there'd be another creative appearing for Bates Motel in the New Year, as A&E like to tease their shows in advance of revealing the official series creative.
Apparently this new prequel series will be inspired by the events, rather than stick 100% to what has come before in the Psycho feature films.

This grisly new creative was spied in the same location as the teaser along Sunset Boulevard on January 17, 2013.

UPDATED: Following a duo of creepy teaser billboards for the new drama, here's another Bates Motel creative featuring the dysfunctional mother and son stars of the show.
This billboard ad was spotted in the same location as the others on February 11, 2013.

UPDATED: Not content with their slow drip of teaser billboards, A&E have also nabbed this high profile ad site for Bates Motel along L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip.
This super-sized creative spied on February 22, 2013 should certainly spark some interest for the new show.
'A boy's best friend is his mother', indeed.
