Apparently 'There was never just one', which is quite handy when your leading man doesn't want to come back for a fourth installment in a movie franchise.

Jeremy Renner takes the reins from Matt Damon in The Bourne Legacy, and audiences will get to see whether the actor can live up to the solo action hero that he teased in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and as 'Hawkeye' in The Avengers.
These giant 'There was never just one' teaser billboards were snapped at Highland and Franklin Avenues, with the standard landscape ad spied along Melrose Avenue and smaller version along La Brea Avenue at Fountain Avenue on July 14, 2012.
Meanwhile the billboard featuring Jeremy Renner as 'Aaron Cross', a CIA agent from the successor spy program to 'Operation Treadstone' that created 'Jason Bourne', was spotted at Universal Studios Hollywood lower lot on April 26, 2012.

UPDATED: The teaser billboards are steadily being replaced by creatives similar to the one at Universal Studios Hollywood featuring Jeremy Renner, like this one along Westwood Boulevard on July 26, 2012.

Plus the super-sized teaser billboards along Highland Avenue have been replaced by giant Jeremy Renner versions.
The actor's star certainly has been rising ever since his Oscar-nominated performance in The Hurt Locker in 2008.
The giant billboards and these landscape ads along Sunset Plaza were photographed on August 1, 2012. Let's hope the movie can live up to its legacy in more than just its title.
