Now here's a novel way to promote the funny new Comedy Bang! Bang! show from those clever people at IFC.
This parody of the established late night talk show uses a vintage style theatre billboard to help highlight its weekly changing guest celebrity appearances and off-beat comedy sketches.
Not only does this billboard evoke that comedy club feel with who's headlining a gig, but the unconventional format demands closer inspection that a standard creative potentially could.
This eye-catching special installation billboard was snapped along Melrose Avenue at La Brea Avenue on June 5, June 13 and June 20, 2012, rotating the information on a weekly basis.
Daily Billboard always loves seeing innovative new approaches to advertising, it keeps things interesting and the skies full of fun stuff.

People Like Us movie billboards...
In a Summer filled with the usual bombastic big budget blockbusters, it's nice to know that a 'quiet' film like People Like Us exists.
After the death of his father, a struggling Chris Pine discovers that he has a 30 year old alcoholic sister (Elizabeth Banks), with her own troubled 12 year old son.
This landscape billboard, for what sounds like a sweet family drama, was snapped above the Saddle Ranch Chop House along Sunset Boulevard on May 29, whilst the squarer version high above the El Capitan Theatre along Hollywood Boulevard was captured on June 24, 2012.
If you're a Chris Pine fan, be sure to also check out his This Means War movie billboard from earlier this year.

Brand X talkshow series premiere billboard...
The ego has landed and late night has literally been rebranded, by British funny man Russell Brand.
Yes, the ex-Mr. Katy Perry is getting his own late night talk show on FX called Brand X and he's marking the occasion in his own laid back style.
This cool TV billboard for the quirky comedian was snapped along L.A.'s Sunset Strip on June 7, 2012.
Be sure to also check out Russell Brand's billboards for the Arthur movie remake and for more television talkshow billboards check out Kathy Griffin's talkshow ad and these Conan O'Brien show billboards.

Vitamin Water You're Up billboards...
Daily Billboard is currently loving the new Vitamin Water ad campaign that has been lining the streets of L.A. these past few months.

The mono lifestyle creatives on white with a burst of vibrant colour for each variant, plus some special extensions to capture your attention even more, really do stand out against the California sky.

Of course, it helps when you tease a bit of nudity like with this naked male cyclist and the near topless female surfer for the xxx drink.
Playing cool instruments, dancing with abandon, engaging in sports, all help convey the energy and youthfulness of the water brand.
The cyclist was first snapped on March 27 along La Brea Avenue, whilst the surfer was spotted on May 5 along La Cienega Boulevard, the 'revive' creative seen along Melrose Avenue on May 23 and the guitarist version also photographed along La Brea Avenue on June 12, 2012.
Meanwhile, for a different take on the brand's advertising, check out this older, more overtly colourful campaign from August 2010. Snapped at two locations along Sunset Boulevard, the Vitamin Water bottle was clearly the hero.

UPDATED: If you liked Vitamin Water's 'You're Up' ad campaign then you'll love their vibrant new 'Make boring brilliant' creative.
This multi-coloured, energetic billboard really catches your eye where it was snapped along Westwood Boulevard on April 21, 2013.

Storage Wars season three TV billboard...
Storage Wars is back with a bang, quite literally, for a third season.
This explosive billboard, which pays homage to practically every action movie ever where the heroes walk calmly towards the camera with fiery balls of fury erupting behind them, is a nice way to grab attention for the series where professional treasure hunters bid for the contents of abandoned storage units upon seeing them for a very limited time.
In A&E's regular location along Sunset Boulevard, this eye-catching billboard was snapped on June 5, 2012.
If you're a fan of the show, be sure to also check out the billboard for Storage Wars season one and season two gambling themed ad.

Katy Perry Part of Me movie billboards...
Fans of Katy Perry will be very pleased with Daily Billboard today with these two fabulous billboards for her new Part of Me 3D music movie.
This giant billboard for the California Gurl's upcoming documentary-concert movie is really fun and playful, just like the candy-coated pop star herself.
Katy Perry's other patriotic landscape billboard for the movie was spotted along Highland Avenue at Franklin Avenue on June 24.
The super-sized version along L.A.'s infamous music haven, Sunset Strip, really stands out with that striking white background on June 23, 2012 (usually advertisers opt for, or perhaps are required to use a darker blue background like the recent Madagascar 3 billboard).
Be sure to also check out Katy Perry's sexy Purrs fragrance billboard from 2010.
Plus stay tuned to Daily Billboard as later this week we'll debut the singer's ex, Russell Brand's, new Brand X talk show billboard.

UPDATED: Hot on the heels of those first two billboards, here's another vibrant 'mirror image' creative which totally captures that teenage dream of singing into your hairbrush in your bedroom and becoming a famous pop star.
This colourful Part of Me movie billboard was snapped high above Wilshire Boulevard opposite the La Brea Tar Pits on June 25, 2012.

The Newsroom series premiere TV billboards...
Daily Billboard loves the simplicity of this creative for The Newsroom, which immediately conveys the news anchor premise of the HBO's new drama.
Jeff Daniels brings his acting credentials and a real gravitas to the newscaster role even in this single image, along with a whole host of famous names to bring you the behind-the-scenes at a nightly cable-news program.

The ad campaign for the new series is all over the streets of L.A., plus it's pretty much taken over Sunset Boulevard with at least these four billboard sites.
The standard landscape billboard was first spotted on May 28, whilst the giant-sized version was snapped towering over Sunset Strip on June 14, 2012.
And now, the news.

UPDATED: It's been a while since we've seen The Newsroom in the skies of L.A. (but fortunately the second season is on the way), so it's a treat to see this Emmy Consideration billboard for HBO's compelling and exhilarating drama series along Wilshire Boulevard on May 30, 2013.
