What's not to love about the irony, albeit somewhat heavy-handed, of an aircraft carrier called USS John F Kennedy crashing into the White House, in this eye-catching billboard for near-future disaster movie, 2012.
The billboard was just one of several creative executions depicting famous landmarks being obliterated as the Earth suffers a global cataclysm and was photographed on Melrose Avenue on October 21, 2009.
UPDATED: In addition to this JFK battleship special extension billboard there were also these other creatives spotted around L.A. for the apocalyptic movie.
This 'We we warned' teaser billboard was spotted along the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood on September 24, 2009.
Meanwhile these other billboards with Downtown L.A. toppling off into a San Andreas abyss were snapped at Sunset & Vine in Hollywood and at The Grove shopping centre on the 28 September and November 8, 2009 respectively.
