Time's Up and (We) believe (in) women billboards...

Times Up billboard
One of Daily Billboard's hopes is that in the future visitors to this blog can look back and not only find examples of great outdoor advertising campaigns, but also see how the world has changed as the years go by (or not, as the case may be).

In the past year the Women's March, the #MeToo and Time's Up initiatives seem like a real turning point in history, so let's hope these billboards currently filling the skies of L.A. for these essential movements mark the start of real, lasting change that help empower, provide opportunity and protect women in all walks of life, from entertainment to agriculture, business, media, politics, the sports world and service industries.

The bold Time's Up billboard was first snapped along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on December 28, 2017, whilst Lifetime's '(we) believe (in) women' billboards were photographed along the Sunset Strip on January 23, 2018.

Let's hope this positive momentum continues as time's up for sexism, misogyny, discrimination, pay inequality, domestic abuse, bullying, predatory behavior and sexual harassment at work and in everyday life.

No social change comes without pain or sacrifice, so here's to all the silence breakers and strong female pioneers throughout history that have led the way.

Daily Billboard believes women, believes in women and totally believes the future is female.

UPDATED: Here's another billboard currently in L.A.'s skies which fits with the message of these other billboards, an ad creative for the Seeing Allred documentary by Roberta Grossman and Sophie Sartain.

Showcasing women's rights lawyer Gloria Allred, currently representing women accusing Donald Trump of sexual misconduct and previously helping to bring cases against other high-profile defendants like Bill Cosby, this Netflix billboard was snapped along Santa Monica Boulevard in West L.A. on January 27, 2018.
