Now You See Me 2 movie billboards...

And the award for best use of head shots goes to, Now You See Me 2. The real illusion for the magic caper sequel is fitting all these recognisable actors onto one billboard creative, which doesn't make a very dynamic or magical campaign at all.

You may have just seen another Four Horsemen recently in X-Men: Apocalypse, but the stage illusionists of the same name are back to perform their most impressive heist yet (although the token female character has magically transformed from Isla Fisher to Lizzy Caplan this time around).

This seems to be a year of ill-conceived and perhaps undesired sequels, with the likes of Zoolander 2, The Huntsman: Winter's War, Alice Through the Looking Glass and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows underperforming at the box office compared to their predecessors. Can this sequel pull the rabbit out of the proverbial hat and provide a winning trick on the big screen?

The only bit of trickery Daily Billboard saw for this outdoor ad campaign was akin to sawing a lady in half with these interconnecting billboards, splitting the film's title and cast in two, on either side of the road along Bundy Drive in West L.A. That's hardly going to bring the house down though.

Maybe they're hoping that the tongue-in-cheek casting of Daniel Radcliffe will mean that some of his Harry Potter wizardry will rub off.

These Now You See Me 2 movie billboards were snapped around the streets of L.A. from May 25 to June 2, 2016, including along La Cienega Boulevard, Melrose Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard and Bundy Drive.

Let's hope that when we watch Now You See Me 2 it can surprise us more than the marketing campaign has, and that the big reveal at the end of this movie isn't just another sequel.
