This time though he's not on Her Majesty's Secret Service as '007 James Bond' but as 'Peter Devereaux', a deadly, ex-CIA agent codenamed 'The November Man'.
The movie is based on Bill Granger's 1987 novel, There Are No Spies, which is the seventh installment in The November Man spy thriller series.
In this adaptation Pierce Brosnan re-teams with the director of 1997's Dante's Peak, Roger Donaldson, and his former operative must come out of retirement for one last mission, to protect a valuable witness (Olga Kurylenko), pitted against a former agency protege and dealing with a high level conspiracy.
It's not the first time that Olga Kurylenko as worked with a 007, as she was a Bond Girl alongside Daniel Craig, as you can see from these Quantum of Solace movie billboards from 2008.
Hmm, one final thought, Daily Billboard can't help but wonder how long it'll be before we see Pierce Brosnan turn up in an Expendables movie sequel.
