TV WEEK: Falling Skies season two billboards...

If like Daily Billboard you thoroughly enjoyed the first season of this post-alien invasion series, then you'll love the sight of these new season two billboards for TNT's Falling Skies.

It looks like Noah Wyle's character 'Tom Mason' and his sons will be front and center again this season in their struggles against the extraterrestrial 'Skitter' forces.

This giant-sized 'Hold your ground' creative with a 'mech' unit staring down what looks like Tom looks very imposing and is a real eye-catcher along L.A.'s Sunset Strip on the side of the Andaz Hotel on May 22, 2012.

Meanwhile the landscape 'Get off my planet' version was snapped along Fairfax Avenue on the same day.

TV WEEK: True Blood season five billboards...

With creator and producer Alan Ball leaving True Blood after the fifth season, you just know that the witty vampire alluding tag line 'Everything is at stake' means so much more.

This sexy fantasy series always has a real knack at creating eye-catching visuals to promote the show and the season five billboards are no exception with their nifty red, white and black design.

Anna Paquin's 'Sookie Stackhouse' can be seen towering over L.A.'s Sunset Strip in a giant-sized ad and in a smaller creative at Fairfax Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, whilst her vampire love interests 'Bill' and 'Eric' get their own billboards too along Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue respectively on May 23, 2012.

UPDATED: As the excitement builds for the fifth season of True Blood, another super-sized billboard has appeared in the same location along Sunset Boulevard.

This billboard which looks like the star is looking directly at you with that piercing eye was snapped in Santa Monica on June 6, 2012.

Meanwhile whilst not every character from the fantasy series can get their own billboard, almost all of them do get their own poster, like fan favourites Alcide, Pam, Lafayette and Jessica.

TV WEEK: Workaholics Fully Torqued season three billboard...

Now here's a sight you don't see filling the skies of L.A. very often, but there's no ignoring this eye-catching special installation billboard from Comedy Central's Workaholics series.

This bright orange installation is sure to get you excited, or Fully Torqued, for the returning comedy's third season and no you're not imagining it, but they are supposed to be boners sticking out of that billboard.

For more of an explanation of this fun and risqué billboard you really have to watch this Fully Torqued clip, because otherwise it'll be too hard to explain (pardon the intentional pun).

If you're a fan of the comedy series, be sure to also check out Workaholics season one special extension billboard from last year.

Some may find this billboard snapped at the top of La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood on May 22, 2012 a bit rude, but Daily Billboard is sure that for people who frequent L.A.'s Sunset Strip this doesn't offend their not-so-delicate sensibilities.

UPDATED: In what Daily Billboard is certain is a totally premeditated PR stunt, Workaholics risqué 'Fully Torqued' installation has been removed and replaced with this new 'removed due to explicit content' notice.

The 'Sorry, we tried to keep it up' pun is priceless and the flapping orange vinyl around the edges of the this billboard snapped on June 5, 2012, is a really nice touch.

Daily Billboard thinks that Comedy Central's Workaholics may just be in the running for a BAB Award with this clever, engaging creative.

TV WEEK: Hatfields and McCoys series premiere billboards...

This Memorial Day belongs to the Hatfields & McCoys, well at least to the new original mini-series from The History Channel.

The three-part drama airs over three consecutive nights and the true American story about a decades long family feud really brings out the big guns in the form of Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton to lead an all-star cast.

The show has made a stand at L.A.'s Sunset Strip with this giant double billboard featuring the two heads of family facing off against each other, plus this other standard billboard at Sunset and Holloway Drive snapped on May 8 to maximize the series impact in this busy traffic corridor.

In addition to the super-sized ads, this standard landscape version of the same face-off creative was captured along Pico Boulevard near La Cienega Boulevard on May 22, 2012.

Get ready for tensions to mount between West Virginia and Kentucky and for clans to clash after the end of the Civil War in this new six-hour drama.

Let's face it, there's nothing like a good family feud on a holiday weekend to liven things up.

UPDATED: It looks like someone enjoyed the Hatfields & McCoys, as it's garnered an impressive sixteen Emmy Award nominations.

This celebratory billboard featuring the larger cast for the historic mini-series was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at Holloway Drive on August 1, 2012.

Amber Heard Guess Jeans beach billboard...

The denim brand Guess may be celebrating 30 sexy years at the moment with a new Claudia Schiffer campaign, but Daily Billboard wants instead to focus on this recent beach bodies billboard which seems like a real homage to the classic 1953 movie, From Here To Eternity.

The mono ad features actress and model Amber Heard and male model Silviu Tolu recreating the iconic pose made famous by Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster.

They are far from the only brand opting for this popular cinematic imagery to sell their wares, take for example this billboard for Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas snapped along Santa Monica Boulevard on August 30, 2010.

The Guess Jeans Spring 2012 ad was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at North Sweetzer Avenue on January 5, 2012.

Battle of the billboards: Gucci vs CK vs Chanel sunglasses...

This month all eyes are on the eyes of L.A.'s skyline quite literally, with this new Battle of the billboards for designer sunglasses supremacy.

Duking it out to when your hard earned cash and to see their eyewear on your face are Gucci, CK Calvin Klein and Chanel. Which ones would you prefer to wear?

It seems like big specs are still in vogue, although it's refreshing to see that Chanel is also bringing a burst of colour with their fabulous yellow sunglasses rather than just the traditional black shades.

All three of these stylish billboards were snapped at various locations along Sunset Boulevard on May 8, 2012.

Live For Now, that's the new message from Pepsi.

Along with a colourful montage creative, they also have current flavour of the month rapper, Nicki Minaj, to continue their association with music and appeal to a younger generation.

Let's face it, these vibrant, fun ads are certainly more interesting than a simple pack shot of their can of cola.

These cool Pepsi billboards were snapped around the streets of L.A. from San Vicente Boulevard to the skies of Beverly Boulevard, plus along 3rd Street to the high traffic commuter belt of Sunset Boulevard at the beginning of May 2012.
